The Process
On January 13, 2023, the groundbreaking for the Tanya S James Elementary School took place. Shortly after, construction commenced.
The Opening
On September 20, 2023, the Tanya S. James Foundation celebrated a significant milestone with the inauguration of the Tanya S. James Elementary School in Kpakoko Village, situated in the Loh Djiboua Region of the Ivory Coast in West Africa. The momentous occasion was marked by a ribbon-cutting ceremony, and in recognition of her contributions, Tanya S. James was bestowed with the honorary title of Queen of the village.
What’s Next?
In September 2023, we also held the ground breaking ceremony for both the Kendall E James Elementary School and the Kyle E James Elementary School.
Late 2023, construction began on the Kendall E James Elementary School and is progressing on schedule.
Construction on the Kyle E James Elementary School will begin in April of 2024.
